3-ingredient Vegan Dalgona Coffee

I’m not one to hop on trends but this was easy enough for me to try!
So if I can do it, you definitely can.
What You Need
🌱 ground coffee (fairtrade to be more sus) 🌱 brown sugar (or cane/unrefined sugar for health) 🌱 plant milk (i use vsoy #thicc)
+ a splash of hot water
• bowl • teaspoon • whisk / fork • transparent mug/glass (for aesthetics)
🐾 STEPS 🐾
(𝑟𝑜𝑢𝑔ℎ𝑙𝑦 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑡𝑤𝑜 𝑐𝑢𝑝𝑠)
1️⃣ add 4 tsp of coffee with 4 tsp of sugar into a bowl
2️⃣ add a splash💦 of hot water (or roughly 4 tsp)
3️⃣ whisk for 5-10mins 💪🏼💪🏼 until you get stiff peaks 🍦(electronic whisk takes just 3 mins!!)
4️⃣ pour cold milk into your mug/glass until ~3/4 full – can add a few ice cubes for added boujee
5️⃣ use a spoon to add the whisked coffee on top of the milk – yes it floats! ☁️
How to Drink with Pleasure
✅ insert a teaspoon ON ONE SIDE (don’t poke middle just yet pls) and slide it around the rim (see last pic)
✅ place your juicy lips on the rim with the holey part and just sip! – you’ll get a bit of the fluffy coffee on your lips and in your mouth just before the milk enters, together creating a mouthgasm
Why I Like It
I’m not the drink-coffee-everyday type of person (but I do drink tea every day!)
However, I do appreciate coffee.
I’d only occasionally order coffee when I go to a café. I think I have this idea that coffee is an art that only baristas have the right to create.
But since I can’t go out to cafés during this partial lockdown period, I thought I’d try this super simple Dalgona Coffee. I have the three ingredients and I have the electronic mixer (though I whipped it by hand the first 2 times!).
I LOVE the fluffy texture.
I like it when the whipped coffee touches my lips and at the same time, the cold soy milk rushes in. Those two flavours and textures combine to create this wonderful fiesta in my mouth!
You just have to try it for yourself.
